Rinntech® Resistograph

A Resistograph® uses a long thin needle that is physically turned into the wood to measure possible decay. Similar to an EKG, the arborist receives data as to whether the tree is hollow, decayed, or solid.

This tool is considered slightly invasive and is only used should the situation require it.
